Eligibility Criteria for PMEGP Loan

The objective of the program is to generate employment opportunities in rural as well as urban areas through the setting of new self-employment ventures/ projects/ micro enterprises

The program was launched on the 15th August 2008 to empower the first generation, this scheme is formulated by merging prime Ministers Rojgar Yojana (PMRY) and Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP)

This scheme can be afflicted by only with the eligibility applicants

  • The candidate age at least a minimum of 18 yrs.
  • The educational standards minimum of 8th certified
  • There will be no income ceiling for assistance for setting up projects under PMEGP
  • For setting up project costs above RS. 10lakh in the manufacturing sector and above Rs 5 lakh in the business and service sector
  • A certified copy of caste/community certificate or relevant document issued by the competent authority in the case of other special categories
  • Cost of the land should not be included in the project cost , the cost of the ready built, as well as long lease or rental workshop, can be included in the project cost subject to restricting such cost of ready built as well as long lease or rental workshop to be included in the project cost calculate for maximum priority of 3 years only
  • Maximum priority to the new projects
  • Already having a relationship with the other government are not eligible
  • The eligibility for the production-based industries and the cooperative societies
  • Charitable trust
  • Who are 18 years old, if they want to establish a manufacturing unit costing over RS a0 lakh over the business and RS 5v lakh with the servicing with the PMEGP loan
